San Fran Sept-11

2nd big holiday of the year – this time out to San Francisco – and the Oceano Hotel in Half Moon Bay.  We stayed here during our honeymoon in July 2010 and really liked it.  Hotel has a great vibe, very chilled out, great rooms, with vaulted ceilings, fire’s etc.  Also a bonus is the Half Moon Bay Brewery which is literally next door.

Rented a convertible at SFO, and given it was Labor Day, it wasn’t available.  So, had to upgrade to a ‘super-sport’.  Ended up with a 427bhp Chevy Camaro SS – like Bumblebee from Transformers, but silver instead of yellow.  Bit scary to drive at first, but got used to it – Ann Marie wasn’t impressed as reminded her of the Z4 and doing an impression of a woodpecker – chortle.
